This photo was taken on the train tracks in camas. The exposure was very high because of the time of day because of this I went in and masked a layer to burn down only the background and not her. I also went in and removed a sign in the the background. I like the composition of this photo and can't wait to share more. -L

Blue sky
This is once again the lovely Amanda and this was taken outside in a shaded park area. We had to rebuild the fence in the picture because it was blown down by the wind but I love the rustic feel it has. I went in and darkened the sky because of how bright it turned out. Cant wait for you to see more! -L
Happy Holidays
This photo was taken in our studio where we set up multiple different holiday themed backdrops. We brought in fake snow, ornaments, lights, branches, santa hats, and candy. In this photo I highlighted the side of the box top and darkened parts where the reflection was too bright. I also created more falling snow blurred on the left side in the background. I am happy with the clarity and colorization of this photo. Happy Holidays! -L
Wedding dress
This is one of the wedding pictures we did in class in our studio. We had a few wedding dresses donated to us as well as flowers and hardwood floor. I decided to make this a black and white to soften the photo and give it believability. I also went through and highlighted and burned in parts of her hair and the dress to give it dimension and shading. Overall I'm very happy how this turned out and can't wait to edit more. More to come soon! -L

Black and White
This is one of the senior pictures I took from Amanda's shoot recently. I love how soft the black and white puts on the picture. I love the wood in the background as well and I didn't have make many changes to this photo besides the black and white filter. More to come soon! -L
Studio Work
This is Amanda again and we did a shoot in the studio this time. I made the lighting to be high key to make her skin look smooth and turned this image into a black and white. I added a gaussian blur in a circle around her face to bring out her eyes. I also darkened her lips and lightened her eyes to make them stand out. Other than that there were not many edits I needed to make on this picture. Enjoy and expect more to come like this soon!

Sunset
This picture is a little different from what I normally post but Im going to start adding in photos here and there that are not modeling photography. This photo is one of my favorites I have taken this year. This photo was taken in Trout Lake where I hiked about two miles up to get above the tree line. I did not do much editing to this photo because i felt there was no need to mess with it. The sun was very intense and created a sun flare in my picture so I went in and tried my best to fit it in photoshop. Expect more pictures soon!

Reflection
This is the last picture I will post from this shoot. I love the reflection as the back drop but she was under cover so the photo turned out on the dark side. I was able to brighten the right side and bring back color and highlights on her face and hair. Also the reflection in the window had some distractions and I was able to go in and stamp them out. Happy Fall!

Sweet and Simple
This is another photo taken of kaylie on steps we found in downtown Camas! I love how simple and clean cut this photo is. The lighting glows around her to frame her body. The light was pretty bright up above the stairs but shaded and dark down by the steps. Because of this she tended to be dark while the background was very intense with light. I went into photoshop to fix this and also highlighted her eyes to bring back light in her eyes. -L

Field of Dreams
This photo was taken in a random field of tall grass. My aim was to make this photo soft and have a slight glow to it. I love this picture of Kaylie and I'm happy with how it turned out!

Sunny Days
This photo was taken outside at Grass valley Park. The light was harsh so we tried to shoot mostly in the shade, and then I went back in photoshop to brighten and bring back detail!

Fall is in the Air
This photo was taken in downtown Camas on a fairly bright day. I was able to get clarity and detail in this picture because of the daylight. This was taken of Kaylie on a wooden bench in front of a glass window. I love the reflection and rustic fall feel you get from this photograph. Enjoy!

Studio Work
This is caleigh and this was shot in the studio last year. I set the lighting so it would be harsh on one side and dark on the other side of her face. Since I could control the lighting my ISO was low so I could capture the softness and clarity I hoped to obtain with this photo. I also sped up my shutter to freeze her hair in the air.

Hidden Feelings
This is once again the beautiful Miss Amanda. This photo was taken also at Lacamas Creek trail. I love the seriousness and rawness of this photo. This was shot at a high ISO because of the lighting. The photo is not as clear as I wished it could of been because of how high the ISO was set at. However this is one of my favorite shots of her.
Waterfall
This is Amanda and this photo was taken at Lacamas Creek Trail. The ISO of this picture was set at 500 with an aperture of 5.6. This was a relatively dark area so I had to open the aperture up and raise the ISO to 500. I love the waterfall flowing in the background and the greens in the trees that are highlighted by the light shining through.

Amanda
This was also shot at Lacamas creek trail. I love the green in the trees because it brings out her hair and face. This was also shot in a very dark location so i was able to go in and brighten and fix the coloring back in photoshop after the shoot. I like how simple this shot is and I'm happy the way it turned out.

Earth Beneath My Feet
This photo was taken at Lacamas Creek trail in Camas. Taking this shot was difficult because of the lighting. I was down in the trees so it was shaded and the sun could not shine through. I had to adjust the photos exposure in camera raw and photoshop after. I like the softness and earth feel you get out of this picture. I am happy with the way it turned out!

MY PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE
Hi guys my name is Alexis and my interest in shooting for this blog will mainly be modeling photography. I plan on doing mostly outside shoots in country and city settings. I will also post my breath photographs on this blog that will be a variety of focuses. I like to post Color and Black and White photos for my modeling photography. I think Black and White photos take away all the distractions in the photo and let you actually see the true meaning. Photography to me means telling a story through your lens, and I hope to achieve that in every picture I take for this blog.

Up Up and Away...
For my first post on this blog I thought it was only fit to post one of my favorite photos I have taken so far. This was shot outside in my backyard of my sister Bella. I had some trouble shooting this image because of the intensity of the light hitting her. Because of this, the angle of my photo was not lined up straight. I had to go into photoshop and recreate part of the blanket, fence and the green hedge to form back the picture and make it straight up and down. After I fixed that I went into camera raw and fixed some of the settings. In particular I remember going in and bumping up the clarity and softness to make her skin smooth where it is highlighted by the sun. My favorite thing about this photo is how the light hits her face and makes it glow. My only regret in this photo is the bright red blanket she was sitting on because it casted red onto her skin in some areas.
